Who is Curtis Comeau
For more than 25 years, Curtis Comeau has built a career photographing people, brands, and stories across Canada. His client list includes organizations such as Global News, the NHL, Club House, the Government of Alberta, and many of the country's leading businesses and entrepreneurs. Along the way, he has photographed notable Canadians including Chris Hadfield, Connor McDavid, Robert Bateman, and Brett Wilson.
While working with recognizable names has been a privilege, Curtis believes the most compelling photographs are created through genuine human connection.
"I'm drawn to people and the human element. Whether I'm photographing a CEO, an athlete, or even a beautifully prepared meal, I'm always looking for a way to tell a story through the people behind it."
That philosophy has shaped his approach to portrait, editorial, commercial, and food photography. His goal is never just to create beautiful images—it is to create photographs that feel authentic, memorable, and meaningful.
Outside of photography, Curtis has a passion for entrepreneurship and investing. He is a partner in Robert Spencer Hospitality, one of Edmonton's most respected independent restaurant groups, which includes Workshop Eatery and Woodshed Burgers. He also owns and manages a real estate portfolio consisting of residential properties in Edmonton and Southern Alberta.
"People often think investing is all about money. I believe it's about people. The best investments are made alongside passionate, resilient, and driven individuals who aren't afraid to build something great."
When he's away from the camera, Curtis can often be found exploring Alberta's badlands in search of dinosaur fossils, collecting original artwork and natural history specimens, or spending time outdoors with his family. Above all else, he considers being a father his most important role, and values every opportunity to create lasting memories with his family and children.
