One of the best parts of being an Edmonton photographer is having the opportunity to work with some of the city’s most creative chefs and restaurants. Recently, I photographed the 2026 summer menu at Workshop Eatery, a restaurant that continues to showcase Edmonton’s evolving food scene.
Located in south Edmonton, Workshop Eatery has built its reputation around handcrafted cuisine, genuine hospitality, and a strong focus on seasonal ingredients. The menu balances approachable comfort food with the creativity and attention to detail you would expect from a chef-driven restaurant.
Photographing a new summer menu is about more than simply taking pictures of food. My goal as an Edmonton food photographer is to capture the personality of the restaurant and the work that goes into every plate. Great restaurant photography should make people curious, hungry, and excited to experience the food for themselves.
The 2026 summer menu at Workshop Eatery provided plenty of opportunities to do exactly that. Fresh ingredients, thoughtful plating, colour, and texture all played an important role in creating images that reflected the restaurant’s seasonal approach to food.
What I enjoy about photographing restaurants like Workshop Eatery is the opportunity to work alongside people who care deeply about their craft. There is a tremendous amount of creativity and preparation behind every dish before it ever arrives in front of my camera.
Edmonton has developed an incredible culinary community, and Workshop Eatery is a great example of a local restaurant committed to creating memorable dining experiences.
As an Edmonton commercial photographer specializing in food, restaurant, editorial, and advertising photography, I’m fortunate to help local restaurants and businesses tell their stories through strong, professional imagery.
Photographing the 2026 summer menu at Workshop Eatery was another great opportunity to showcase the creativity—and the people—behind Edmonton’s food scene.
